Mrs. Rebecca Barley Winstead, age 80 of Brookneal, died April 9, 2009 in Lynchburg. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Abe and Mrs. Mary Barley and was married to the late Mr. Samuel Winstead. She is survived by two daughters, Claudy Clark (Maurice) of Baltimore, MD and Jeanette Winstead-Payne (Isaiah) of Naruna; one son, Willie Winstead (Vivian) of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Adolphus Barley; three sisters, Patricia Barley and Janis Hendrix, all of Brookneal and Mildred Barley of Pennsylvania; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Greenspring Baptist Church in Brookneal with interment in the church cemetery.
