Mr. Richard Cheatham, age 77 of New York, passed away on October 11, 2021 in New York. He was the son of the late Richard Hancock and Bethel Cheatham.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Minister Loretta Cheatham; three brothers, James, Joseph, and Robert Hancock; sister-in-law, Francis.

He is survived his children, Jesse Van Valkenburg, Ane Hudson, Richard Wallace and Jean Ross; grandchildren, Cassandra,  Shannara, and Jesse (Jessica) Van Valkenburg, Anna and Angel Feringa, Hazareah Moore and Zemmaeua Price, Dream, Ne'ja, and Hilda Wallace; five great grandchildren; siblings, Benjamin, Alfred, John and Mary Hancock;  and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
