Mr. Ricky Garnett Cousins, age 59 of Nathalie, passed away on January 1, 2021in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Mr. Jesse James Cousins and Bettie Jane Wilborn Pace Cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jessie Evans Cousins; three brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Wilma Barksdale Cousins of the home; his daughter, Monique Barksdale of Nathalie; one son, Keith Jones (Lynette) of New Jersey; six grandchildren, two which he raised as his own, the devoted Leondra Barksdale and Todd Clark; five great-grandchildren; devoted mother-in-law and father-in-law, George and Dorothy Barksdale; three sisters, Queen Dismuke and Catherine Greene of Clover and Gladys Fleming of Richmond; and a host nieces, nephews, (whom he loved dearly); two devoted friends, David Greene and Darlene Downey; and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
