Ricky James Miller, age 62 of Gretna, passed away on July 11, 2025 in Lynchburg. He was the son of James Bill Black and Mary Lois Miller Reid.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jeremiah and Florine Miller and Bossie and Mozelle Black;  and a devoted friend, Joe Barbour.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Derek Rosser of Halifax VA and Mon-trez Waller of Gretna VA; one daughter, Alexis Waller of Lynchburg VA: four grandchildren, Aniyah Jordan and Amir Rosser of Halifax VA; Levi Dickerson and Arabella Waller of Gretna VA; brothers, Curtis Miller of Lynchburg VA, Eddie Black of Columbus, Georgia, Danlie Black of Maryland, Eric Black of Nathalie VA, Trent Stovall, and Timothy Stovall; sisters, Carolyn Davis ( Junior) of Long Island VA, Lisa Martin (Tate) of Danville VA, Anita Mabins (Wayne) of Delaware, Glois Yarbrough (Terrence) of Danville VA, Jackie Black of Washington DC, Wendy Poindexter, Tyanda Stovall and Latonya Stovall, two aunts, Gracie Miller and Nancy Canada; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins; devoted friends, Joe and Latesha Barbour:
