Mrs. Rosa Arcelia Burks Younger, age 86 of Gladys, passed away on July 16, 2022 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Clarence Oliver Burks and Mrs. Rosa Anita Nowlin Burks.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband, James T. Younger; one daughter, Janis Y. Hubbard; and ten siblings.

She is survived by one son, Charles Younger; three daughters, Shelby Jennings, (William),  Iris Scott (Wallace), and Charlene Read (Howard);  sixteen grandchildren,  Veronica Price (Antonio), Nashana Jennings-Lawson, William Jennings, Jessica and Derrick Younger, Crystal Alexander (Demetrius), Brandon and Kevin Hubbard, Edwin, Danielle, Lashey Younger, and Malike and Dominique Read, Beatrice Johnson, Malcolm Skates, and Janiya Younger; thirty-four great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Owen Burks (Frances); two sisters, Elna Layne & Molly Little; son-in-law, Willie C. Hubbard, Jr.;  one brother-in-law, Lorenzo Younger; four sisters-in-laws, Vickie Younger, Frances Younger, Adele Miller, and Audrey Younger; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
