Preceding her in death, along with her parents and husband, are four sisters, Irene G. Pridgen, Anne Lucille Gregory, Hilda Gregory, and Elaine G. Williams; and three brothers, Edward Allen, Hillary III, and Hilton Gregory.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn ReNita Gee Austin ( Rev. Jerome Austin) of Cheverly, Maryland; four grandchildren, Jesse LaMonte Austin of Lanham, Maryland, LaShawn Denise Austin Early (Darnell) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Isaiah Blakely Austin and Kevin Bernard Austin of Cheverly, Maryland; nine great-grandchildren, Darniesha, Erin, Eyan, Xavier, Lamont, Ashton, Andrew, Elijah, and Trinity; one Goddaughter, Valerie Jeffress; one Grand-Goddaughter, Stephanie Alexander Smith; two sisters, Mable G. Johnson (Dwight) and Linda G. Collins (Gerald); two brothers, Louise D. Gregory and James K. Gregory; one nephew raised as a brother, Steven A. Gregory (Cynthia); one brother-in-law, McKinley Gee; two sisters-in-law,  Betty Gregory and Mary Frances Gee; one aunt, Frances Roberts; a myriad of cousins, especially her cousin who was like a brother, William Henry Gregory; numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly; and an abundance of family, friends, and students from many generations.
