Russell James Forest, age 69 of Nathalie passed away on February 10, 2025 in Halifax.  He was the son of the late Clemon Forest, Sr. and Bernice Dennis Forest.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Clemon Forest Sr. and Bernice Forest, as well as his beloved siblings, brother, Clemon Forest Jr., and sister, Judith Brooks; mother-in-law, Alice Boyd; and sister-in-law, Rachael Pannell.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Jane) of the home; daughters, Gwendolynn Sharpe (John) and Samantha Mercado (Mark) of Locust Grove, VA, Victoria Forest of Lynchburg, VA, and Ivy Forest of the home; his son, Eaun Forest of the home; his treasured grandchildren, Matthew Mercado, Micah Mercado, and McKenzie Mercado; his two brothers, David Forest (Arnethia) of Lynchburg, VA, and Marvin Forest of Dayton, OH; his loyal and loving niece, Jocelyn Forest of Nathalie, VA; devoted family friend, Pricilla Clements of Lynchburg, VA; and his extended in-laws, including seven sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law, who enriched his life with their love and support.
