Mr. Russell Morton, III, age 77 of Charlotte Court House, passed away on January 22, 2026 in Richmond, Virginia. He was the son of the late Russell Morton, Jr. and Mary Melvina Terry Morton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Mae Morton.

He leaves to  cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of fifty-six years, Pauline L. Morton of  Charlotte Court House;  four children, Ronald Morton (Tracy) of  Dallas, TX, Jeffery Morton (Angela) of Washington, DC, Russell Morton IV (Serina) of Alexandria, VA, and Kenya Morton of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Radiance Pulliam (Desmond) of Atlanta, GA, Chaselle Morton of Houston, TX, Russell Morton V of San Antonio, TX, Shamar Morton of Dallas, TX, Shay Morton of San Antonio, TX, Shania Woods of Suffolk VA, Adalyn Morton of Washington, DC and Robert C. Ruiz of Alexandria, VA; great grandchildren, Arlana and Kaylar Pulliam of Atlanta, GA; sister, Mary M. Smith (George) of Lunenburg, VA; niece and nephew, Monica Jackson (Scott) and Christopher Smith (Dawn); sisters-in-law,  Christine Venable of Boston, MA, Margaret Bradley of Lynchburg, VA, and Iris Walker of Charlotte Court House, VA; aunts, Gladys Morton of Richmond, VA and Valarie Morton of Charlotte Court House, VA; uncles, Robert "Doug" Morton (Rosa) and Joseph Terry, both of Charlotte Court House; devoted cousins, Franklin and Lonnie Morton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
