Mrs. Ruth Eugenia Skates Clark, age 71 of Charlotte Court House, passed away on January 1, 2024 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Edward Winston Skates and Myrtie Broggin Skates.

In addition to her parents and husband, those who preceded her in death were her siblings, Benjamin Skates, Josephine Dews, David Skates, Jerry Skates and James Skates.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her two children, Angela Clark and Bobby Clark Jr. of Charlotte Court House; two grandchildren, Timothy Clark and Tanesha Clark of Charlotte Court House; four sisters, Minnie Clark of Lynchburg, Dora Rose of Rustburg, Mary Clark (Richard) of Phenix and Lucille Hancock of Brookneal; one brother, Stanley Skates (Jeanette);  six sisters-in-law, Gloria Ghoston of Phenix, Margaret C. Skates of Lynchburg, Dorothy Booth (Leroy) of Appomattox, Cora Pannell of Lynchburg, Elaine Clark of Long Island and Mary Ferrell of Cullen; one additional brother-in-law, Earl Clark (Velmer); five god grandchildren, Shaquashia and Shamari Wade, A'miyah Roberts, Ariyan Craighead, and A'zariyah Craighead; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
