The last "Legend" of the Brookneal Bottom is gone on to be with the Lord.  It is hard to realize, but true, that your struggle is over and your battle is won; you finished your task and went in peace to your eternal home.

On Saturday, August 3, 2024, Samuel Jerry Adams entered into eternal rest at the age of 86.  He was born on December 14, 1937 to the late Robert Adams and Eva Taylor Adams.

He was a member of the New Shiloh Baptist Church in Nathalie, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Adams; son, Walter C. Bradley, Jr.; "special" friend, Tanya Duncan; six brothers, and six sisters.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, a devoted son, Perry Adams (Lisa) of Lynchburg and Thomas Hall, Jr.; a devoted daughter, Cathy Price of Brookneal, Virginia, Adaja Adams of Norfolk, Virginia and Latesse Hall; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, Willie R. Adams of Baltimore, Maryland; devoted sister, Brenda Lee West of Baltimore, Maryland; devoted niece, Katherine West of Nathalie, Virginia; brother-in-law, Gary Clark of Delaware; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
