Sandra Annette Williamson passed away, July 24, 2023, at the age of 81, at Bridgepoint Hospital (Capitol Hill). Sandy was born in Washington, DC on May 27, 1942, to Catherine and Lathan Jones.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband AB Williamson; her children Charles (Eugina), Alvin, Sarita, and Louis; her grandchildren Batia, Brandi, Jayni, Zayia, Marcus, and Micah; and her sisters Charlotte and Estelle (Chester).

Sandra was in the McKinley Tech graduating class of 1960. A long career at Howard University followed, where she worked in the computer center. Following her employment at Howard University, she moved on to a corporate position at Wells Fargo, for over a decade. Sandy was a social butterfly. As the former president of the Lambda Mu Chapter of the Alpha Phi Chi National Sorority Inc., she spread an infectious energy to her sisters. She participated in bowling clubs, pinochle clubs, and many charitable works.

Sandy was very involved in her church. As an usher at First Baptist Church of Highland Park, she rarely missed a service. Her infectious smile, stylish looks, and laughter will be missed by many.

The funeral service for Sandy will be held at the First Baptist Church of Highland Park, 6801 Sheriff Road, Landover, MD 20785 on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 10 a.m.

Funeral service also will be held on Saturday August 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Brookneal, VA with interment in the church cemetery.
