Mr. Sidney Cassell Hancock, age 80 of Brookneal, passed away on February 6, 2021 in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Mr. James Adams and Mrs. Elizabeth Hancock Adams.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edness, his parents, James Adams and Elizabeth Hancock Adams; grandparents, his brother, George and grandson, Calvin.

He is survived by four daughters, Pamela, Marlene, Cindy (Eric), and Altovise, all of Brookneal; seven grandchildren, Denita, Jhervel (Wanda), Juritus, Terressa, Swynetta, Tiffany, and Joice; fourteen great-grandchildren, including MiNaya of the home; three brothers, James Adams of Gladys, Eddie Adams of Nathalie, and Elmer Adams; one sister Katherine West; two brothers-in-law, Willie (Judy) Carr of New York and Branton Holland of South Boston; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
