Mr. Silas Owen Waller, age 91 of Nathalie, entered into eternal rest on August 14, 2021.  He was born on July 24, 1930 to the late Mr. Sy Berry Waller and Mrs. Georgia Eanes Waller; and was the husband of  Mrs. Carol Hamlet Waller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lee Waller, Clyde Waller, Jesse Waller and Douglas Waller; and grandson David Waller, Jr..

He is survived by his wife, Carol Hamlet Waller of the home; five sons, David G. Waller (Laurie) of Chatham, Timothy O. Waller (Cheryl) of Gretna, Michael A. Waller (Deborah) of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Gary L. Waller of Halifax and Barry W. Waller (Melissa) of Gretna; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hamlet of Appomattox and Betty Hamlet of Lynchburg; brother-in-law, Melvin Hamlet of Amherst; and a host of nieces and nephews.
