Stewart Durell Reamey, Sr., 79 of 11777 Patrick Henry Highway, Phenix, Virginia passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at his home.  He was the husband of Phyllis Roakes Reamey. He was born on March 26, 1942, son of the late Richard Durell Reamey and Jessi Lelia Pembelton Reamey.

He was a retired employee of the Virginia Department of Transportation for 35 years. He was a member of Mount Carmel Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Stewart Durell Reamey, Jr. (Kim), Lynn R. Davis, Stephen Dale Reamey (Karen), and Stacy R. Childress; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Tyree Reamey (Linda) of Brookneal; one sister, Mildred L. Davis of Pamplin; one niece, Teresa R. Godsey (Mike) of Smith Mountain Lake; and two nephews, Kevin Tyree Reamey of Brookneal and Nathaniel Davis of Pamplin.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Richard Otis Reamey and two sons-in-law, Clarence Davis, Jr. and Rodney Lee Childress.
