Mrs. Thelma Elaine Wheeler Gilliam, also known as "NaNa" age 54 of Pamplin, passed away on July 27, 2022 in Farmville. She was the daughter of Mrs. Sallie Eldwood Shirley Burrell Wheeler and the late Mr. Arthur Courtney Wheeler, Sr.

In addition to her father, Arthur C. Wheeler, Sr., she was preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Wheeler, Jr.; two sisters, Alberta Doretha Williams and Alfreda Hazel Wheeler Neville.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Maurice Gilliam, Sr. of Pamplin; eleven children, Shaneka Daniel (Roosevelt), Bianca Gilliam (Patron), Gary Gilliam (Kayla), Dakota Wheeler, Damontrae Wheeler, Jamal Wheeler, Arthur D. Wheeler, Courtney Wheeler, Maya Loving and Darius Jones, all of Pamplin and Brittany Spencer of Charlotte Court House; twenty grandchildren; her mother, Shirley Burrell Wheeler of Pamplin; three god children, Sonya Walker, RaiDeandra Croner of Appomattox and Ruth Ann Jackson of Lynchburg; one sister, Rosa Goode of Appomattox; brother, Herman Wheeler (Ellen) of Pamplin; three brothers-in-law, Mark Williams of Lynchburg, Clarence Gilliam of Pamplin and Johnny Neville of Appomattox; four sisters-in-law, Nancy, Cynthia and Vickie Gilliam, all of Pamplin, and Jennifer Wheeler of Ohio; three aunts, Ollie Burrell of Madison Heights and Harriet Croner and Rosa Baker, both of Pamplin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
