Will Treasure
Ghoston
May 22, 1943 – October 8, 2022
Will Treasure Ghoston, age 79 of Phenix, passed away on October 8, 2022 in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Samuel Ghoston and Katie Coleman Ghoston.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven sisters, Louisiana Walthall, Marilla Gaines. Frankie Ghoston, Violet Ghoston, Theresa Carter, Margaret Reid, and Arizona Gaines; two brothers, William Johnson and Sam Ghoston, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Hezekiah Younger, Ja'Kiya Ghoston and Elijah Jones.
Will was also called "Duke" by many. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. Will was a farmer for many years, and he also worked at the William's Lumber Company in Brookneal.
He was a member of the Nazareth Baptist Church as he was a faithful member until his health began to decline.
Those left to cherish his memories are, his devoted wife, Gloria Ghoston of Phenix; his children, Iris Allen (Tony) of Lynchburg, Barbara Davis of Rustburg, Johnny Hayes (Peggy) of Red House and Brenda Turner (Lamont) of Charlotte Court House; eight grandchildren, Latasha Skates, Latoya Skates, Dantrell Ghoston, Brandon Ghoston, R. J. Taylor, Lataysha Ghoston, Cedric Allen and Kelsey Rawes,; twelve great grandchildren, La'Darius Jones, Aliyah Woodford, Josiah Ghoston, Za'Riyah Ghoston, Jaymarion Hendricks, Nevaeh Barley, Amari Taylor, Sereniti Taylor, Brantley Allen, Sierra Dixon, Taegan Everly and Haylen Rawes; one sister, Marshia Brogdon; one brother, Thomas Ghoston; sisters-in-law, Elaine Clark, Margaret Skates, Cora Pannell, Mary Ferrell, Minnie Clark, Ruth Clark, and Dorothy Booth; brothers-in-law, Richard Clark (Mary) George Clark (Velmar) and Dewy Bolling; very dear and special niece, Mrs. Melinda Bunting; very special great nephew, whom he adored and loved dearly, Ximon Bunting; three devoted nieces, Mrs. Dorothy Ann Burrell, Elizabeth Walthall and Ms. Susan Walthall; and a host of relatives and friends.
