Mr. William Edward Allen, age 78 of Lynchburg, died on Friday, March 18, 2016 in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Mr. Stanhope Allen and Mrs. Mary Wheeler Allen.
He is survived by six children, Andree Haskins (Erica) of Manassas, Kira Bridgett of South Carolina, Eric Bridgett and Marquis Bridgett, both of Hempstead, New York, Katherine Calloway and Gail Calloway, both of Long Beach, New York; six sisters, Minerva Venable of Pamplin, Marie Ligon of New York, Sallie Griffith (Collins) of Pamplin, Jean Griffith (Halver) of New York, Ernestine Scott (Cleovis) of Detroit, Michigan, and Therussell L. Horne (Henry) of Pamplin; one brother, Howard Allen of Freeport, New York; two aunts, Nannie Johnson of Pamplin, and Annie Lee Brown of Chicago, Illinois; a special friend, Rose Edwards; and a host of other relatives and friends.
