William Junior Lovelace, age 68 of Brookneal, passed away on September 6, 2025 at his residence. He was the son of the late George Black and Virginia Lovelace Scott and was raised by the late Vanie Scott.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Joyce M. Jones and Barbara (Randy) Jones; five brothers, Phillip D. Lovelace, Junior Byrd, Marvin B. Black, Harry Black, and Kenneth Black; and one niece, Shawna Scott.

Williams leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Jermaine Elliott, and bonus daughter, LaShawn Martin; six sisters, Florine (Charlie) Gilbert, his faithful caregiver, Edith (Horace) Jones, Pastor Connie (Bishop Dwight), Sarah Scott, Caroline Monroe and Debra (James) Carr; three brothers, Larry (Lois) Marable, Dennis (Joan) Marable, and George (Shelia) Black; brother-in-law, Jeffrey X. Jones; two aunts, Edith Mobley and Lula Gilliam; his significant other, Ruby Porter; loving fur babies, Peanut and Joey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
