Mr. William Earnest Scott, Sr., age 95 formerly of Pamplin, passed away on April 1,2023 in Rocky Mount, Virginia. He was the son of the late David Washington Austin and Ellen Douglas Scott.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Etta Haskins Scott; and son, Howard Scott.

He is survived by his children, Filmore Scott (Alma) of Appomattox, William E. Scott, Jr. and Catherine Scott Tune, both of Lynchburg, Alonzo Scott of Norfolk and James Scott, Sr. of Pamplin; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
