Rev. William R. Venable, age 84 of Nathalie, passed away on December 27, 2025 at his residence. He was the son of the late Emanuel Venable and Nannie Louise Haskins Venable. He was married to Mrs. Florine Barbour Venable.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Venable Banks; his son, William Roy Venable, Jr.; his brothers, James Venable, Emmanuel Venable and Pastor Wyatt Venable.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife Florine Venable; his devoted daughter, Lisa Scott; his son, Anthony Donald; his devoted sisters-in-law, Barbara Barbour, Hildred Lawson, Linda Watkins, Minerva Venable and Dorothy Jones; his devoted brothers-in-law, Walter Barbour and James Barbour; his brothers-in-law, Melvin Barbour and Irvin Lewis; seventeen grandchildren, sixteen greatgrandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
