Mr. Willie James Lawson, age 73 of Nathalie, passed away on July 3, 2022 at his residence. He was the son of the late Mr. Willie Teddie Lawson and Mrs. Rosa Catherine Henderson Lawson.

Willie was preceded in death by his father, Willie Teddie Lawson; mother, Rosa Catherine Lawson; two brothers, Charlie Wallace Henderson and Lawrence Edward Henderson;, and grandson, Shaun Walker Barksdale, whom he lovingly called "Coobie."

Those left to morn his memory are his wife of forty-six years, Hildred Barbour Lawson of the home; one daughter, Barbara L Campbell of Lynchburg;  one great granddaughter, Shanae L Barksdale of Lynchburg; one sister, Rosa Adele McIvor (Clinton) of Nathalie; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jones of Chester, PA, Annie Barbour (Melvin) and Florine Venable (William), both of Nathalie, Anne Barbour of Hurt; two brothers-in-law, James A. Barbour (Barbara) and Walter L Barbour, both of Nathalie; two nieces, Edwina Lawson of Woodbridge, VA and Sandra Lawson Miller of Waldorf, MD; a devoted cousin, Francis Tucker (Wayne) of Gretna; a devoted friend and mechanic, William Crews; and a host of other family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
