On November 1, 2017, Mr. Willie "Mac" Jennings, affectionately known as "Uncle Bill ", took his rest at the age of 88 at Berry Hill Nursing Home in South Boston, Virginia.  Willie was born on June 1, 1929 in Halifax County to the late Hubert Thomas and Rosa Dennis Jennings.  Willie was one of 12 children born to this union.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Larry Jennings; three grandchildren; one brother, Junior Jennings (Iona); and one sister, Hazel Carrington; a devoted great niece, Latosha Mabins and her children, Shametria "Mimi", Precious and Shawn; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caretaker, Eugene Smith.
