Mr. Willie Lee Rigney, age 93, of Brookneal, entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2026. He was the son of the late Gilbert Edward Rigney and Geneva Carwile Rigney. He was the husband of the late Barbara Ann Rigney.

He was employed by Montaque-Betts Company for over thirty years before retirement. His achievements included designing the elevator system at the World Trade Center and one of the tallest buildings in Lynchburg, Virginia. Willie had a passion for all animals, especially dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Devin Ray Seamster.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Tara Hogan (James "J. T.") of Gladys and Willa Fulcher of Brookneal; four grandchildren, Lindsay Hogan, Ashley Hogan, Cheyenne Hogan, and Michael Aaron Keys; five great grandchildren, Kaden Evers, Drake Tweedy, Caleb Wright, Colton Hogan, and Carter Haskins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
