"Yes, I'm the Roofer", George Winston Mann, 68 died Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Winston was born in Campbell County on November 2, 1953, to the late George Willie Mann and  Susie Monroe Mann.

Winston "Broda" is survived by three sisters, Pat M. Hamlette (Larry), Carolyn M. Brown, and Rachel Mann; special friend, Shelia Moorman; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Winston was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Edward Mann and William Kenneth Mann. Winston was a member of  Immanuel Baptist Church where he accepted Christ at the age of 9 years old.

Upon graduation from Rustburg High School in 1972, he worked at Lynchburg Foundry for about two years. While there he would work by day learning and training to partnership in the roofing business which lasted about forty-eight years. This is proof "When you do what you love you've never worked a day in your life."

Winston was an avid lover of Harley Davidson motorcycles and his biker friends. He loved traveling to Sturgis, SD every March for the Harley Davidson Rally as able.  Also, Winston became known for his tremendous Christmas displays and having "Santa Claus" on stand-by for the children as they admired the display, etc. with Santa handing out candy canes and sharing the moment.

Winston was quick to meet new friends and always liked to shoot the breeze whenever possible. He was widely known and loved by family and friends. We all will miss him.
