Mrs. Theresa Smith Britton, age 72 of Brookneal, passed away on March 22, 2014 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Jack Smith and Mrs. Edna Bradley Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron W. Britton, Jr., sister, Gloria Smith, brother, Irvin Smith and a nephew, Steve Smith, Jr. Theresa is survived by her children, Eric Britton (Jacqueline) of Lynchburg, Virginia; E. Scott Britton of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Kitoko George of Raleigh, NC and Erika Britton of Lynchburg, VA; one great-grandson Cameron of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Leon Smith (Brenda) of Lynchburg, VA and Steve Smith of Brookneal, VA; two uncles, Charlie Bradley, Jr. and Adolphus Barley, Sr. of Brookneal, VA; one nephew, Raymond Smith (Christie); two nieces, Gloria and Teresa Smith, all of Lynchburg, VA; five great nieces; two great nephews; and three cousins, Felicia, Shannon and Tiffany whom she thought of as her own.
