On the morning of February 5, 2014, the death angel came into our home and with chilly fingers sealed the lips of our husband and father, Zebie Dee Logan.

Mr. Logan was born on January 27, 1916, in Halifax County, Va. His parents were Elijah and Almeda Stewart Logan. Mr. Logan was married to Queen Esther Logan in December 1939, and to this union were born James Howard and Bertha M. Logan.

To his family and friends, he was the one who made you laugh when there was sadness and sorrow; he was that special uncle and cousin whose advice was sought out and respected. Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Many wonderful memories will be left for: his wife, Queen Esther Logan (74 years together); daughter, Bertha; son, James (Sarah); three grandchildren, Priscilla Logan and Wanda Logan of Laurel, MD; James Logan, Jr. (Tiffany) of Rustburg, VA; three great-grandchildren, Christina, Trinity and T.J. of Rustburg, VA; one sister, Seva Barbour of Philadelphia, PA; one sister-in-law, Ophelia Logan of South Boston, VA; one special spiritual brother, Deacon Oscar Womack of Nathalie, VA and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
