The journey for Wallicia Kelsaw came to its close on September 18, 2012 in the peaceful quietness of her home in Cullen, VA with her devoted family by her side. Wallicia was born on December 19, 1931 to the late Willie Kelsaw and Pattie Baker. At an early age, she was baptized and joined the St. Andrews Baptist Church where she was an active and faithful member until her passing. She was diligent in her religious life and rendered service with pride. She graduated from Virginia Union University and started her teaching career in Charlotte County Public Schools. She touched, blessed and helped mold the lives of countless young people for 46 years as a mathematics teacher and guidance counselor. Wallicia Kelsaw was a loving mother, grandmother, niece, cousin and friend to all. She loved her church, her family and her friends. Her family and friends loved her and found comfort in her warm lovable character, sweet disposition and she was greatly admired and respected at all times. She enjoyed family gatherings especially 3rd Sunday Dinners and Holidays. One son, Charles Callahan, preceded her in death. Left to cherish fond memories are: her children, Avonne Evans, Maude Brown, Gloretta Callahan, Lend Pryor (Irby), Vonzella Hack, Jane Ghee (John), Brenda Brown (Eric), Cedric Edmonds and Michael Evans (Chandelle). Grandchildren: Whitney Callahan, Jonathan Ghee, Julian Ghee, Sharita Brown, Joshua Brown, Sylvania Hack (Tredella), Terrell Pryor, Shawn Pryor and Steven Norton, great-grandchildren Tiara Pryor and Kayla Hack. One devoted uncle, Oscar Wood, step-mother, Margaret Kelsaw, half-sisters Fancine and Dibbie Kelsaw and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
