Mrs. Florence Ann Roberts was born on April 29, 1937 to the late George Washington Oliver and Rebecca Jones. She passed away at her home in Keysville, Virginia on July 27, 2011. She attended the Mecklenburg County Public Schools. She was a kind and loving person who enjoyed helping others. She also enjoyed cooking, fishing, sharing fun times with her grandchildren, and Kingdom Hall services. In 1952, she married the Kermit Roberts, Sr. To this union, seven children were born. One son, Kermit Roberts, Jr. preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Carrie Bacon and Elizabeth Coleman; and one brother, James Oliver; Florence leaves to cherish fond memories, her children, Leon Roberts (Esther), George Roberts (Linda), Cora Jones (Arnold), and Carolyn Seymore, all of Drakes Branch, Va., Andrew Roberts (Sonya) of Chase City, Va., and Betty Goode of Saxe, Va.; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy May Barnes of Keysville, Va., and Marie Hutcherson of Newark, NJ; one brother, George Oliver, Jr. (Anita) of Newark, NJ; and a host of other relatives and friends.
